Here's the first chapter ;)<3

I curled the last lock of hair I had in my hand to perfection. For the first time in forever, I actually care about the way I looked, and I knew it had something to do with a certain guy that I always catch looking at me. The connecting door between my room and my parents' room was opened by my mom. I lifted my eyebrow as if to say 'what?'

Mom: Basma, bt6l3en?
Basma: ee, mama.
Mom: bes ya mama ma k2n elwgt t25r shwy 3la il6l3a l7alk?
I looked down at my watch and saw that it said 10:58 PM. It was a little later than usual for me to be out by myself with my friends, but I had to go. I needed to see him. I shook my head to clear up my mind a bit, and smiled at my mom.
Basma: laa, mama! 3adi! A9ln b6l3 m3 3lia.
Mom: w 3lia ha4i btkon l7alha?
Basma: la2, omha w 5alt'a bykonon fe!
Mom: aha, ok. La tt25ren mra! Mar7 anam ela lma trj3en.
Basma: enshallah ya a7la om! A7bikk!
I left the room, and gave my mom a kiss on her forehead. My smile was painted widely on my face, and I couldn't stop it no matter what. I've never felt this way before, and it scares and excites me at the same time.

I had a lot of fun with Alia, catching up with old friends is always a blast. Now, I was walking down the street to go back to the hotel. It was chilly, and a bit wet; a typical kind of weather for Paris. I had said my goodbyes to Alia, because even though we stayed at the same hotel it was getting a bit late and I knew mom was waiting for me. I thought that since I'm near the hotel I'd walk to it, instead of getting a taxi. I'm kind of regretting that choice right now because I'm so scared.
"S'il vous plaît me de l'argent!" (Please give me money)
"Vous êstes si jolie!" (You're very beautiful)
A lot of drunk french men were slurring, and goosebumps appeared all over my limbs. I didn't think the hotel was that far from the cafè we were sitting in. I tried to walk faster, but my steps were too small to make me go any faster than I was. I was thinking of other ways to go to the hotel, because I was going to pass by a group of 5aleeji guys. That fact scared me more than anything, even though I felt a lot safer now that I know there some 5aleejis here other than the drunks.
"Basma!"
I turned around at the mention of my name. Who was that? Deep down I knew it was him though. I couldn't go wrong; not with the shiver that ran down my spine every time I heard his voice.
Basma: uhhh.. hala!
Aziz: ana 3ziz, a5o 3lia. T4krteni?
Basma: ee, 3bdul3ziz. Akeed t4krtik.
I was getting a bit uncomfortable since we were having this conversation so publicly, and in front of a group of 5aleeji guys who I am assuming are his friends. I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw Abdulaziz waving a hand in front of my face.
Basma: sorry! Esh kint tgol?
Aziz: agol leeh tmshen l7alik?
Basma: kint m3 3lia, bes lazm arj3 elhotel 3shan mama tnt9'rni w glt eno madam elhotel greb mala da3i a5i4 taxi w amshi a7sn bes 6l3 mrra y5wf fa mdri. Bes grbt al7in!
My heart did this thing where it stopped beating then started beating too fast when I heard his laugh. It was a deep, very muscular laugh and it set a thousand of butterflies free in my stomach. A blush tinted my cheeks when I realised he was laughing at me.
Basma: ana bmshii..
Aziz: NO! Basma, ent9'ri bw9lk.
I blushed harder at his very fast reaction; I was very flattered to say the least. I shook my head at him, and turned on my heels. I think it's better if I leave now, so people won't get the wrong idea.
Aziz: Basma! E9bri, please. Mo lazm amshi m3k, wrak 3adi. Ahm shy 3ndi, enik to9alen elhotel besalama. 3shan glbi yt6mn.
I didn't think it was possible to blush any harder, but it was. I nodded weakly, because: A- I was scared sh*tless B- He was too cute for me to say no. During the walk he was very quiet that I almost forgot that he was behind me if it wasn't for his light breathing. In a strange way, his breathing pattern calmed me. I decided that I wasn't going to waste a perfectly great chance for me to get to know him because I was shy.
Basma: soo..
Aziz: yeah?
Basma: let's play a game?
I said with a weak smile. Worst conversation starter, ever! He laughed and my heart did that stupid stutter it did; I could barely focus on what was he saying or doing because a whole zoo was being set free in my stomach. I don't think this is a normal crush.
Aziz: ok! Yalla, wsh 3ndik l3ba?
Basma: hmm… 21 questions?
Aziz: 6yb! Bes ana abda.
Basma: okk!
Aziz: fe shy mmno3 as2al 3na?
Basma: ee! Wzni, w…
I thought about it for a few seconds longer.
Basma: w drajati!
And then again, he laughes. 56ar eni amot mn war hlwld w his laugh.
Aziz: nbda basic questions 6yb, question number one favourite colour?
Basma: grey!
Aziz: leh?
Basma: 3shana blws6 w 5air elomor aws6ha!
I even winked for emphasis. What on earth was I doing?! Am I flirting with him? I felt like face palming myself but he'd think I'm a lunatic.
Aziz: yalla, basma dorik!
Basma: question number one isssss…
I stretched out the S for suspense, and because I had no clue what to ask him.
Basma: favourite hair colour?
He answered without second thought.
Aziz: black, not any black. No, dark black that looks like white or silver under the light.
I automatically turned a deep red from embarrassment, because he was looking my way all the time.
Aziz: dori yalla, question number 2: favourite book and why?
Basma: tso2 tso2 tso2, so2aleen bWa7d?
Aziz: nop! So2al wa7d ha4a.
I stuck out my tongue in annoyance at him, and he let out a small laugh. None the less, it made my heart do that stuttering dance it does.
Aziz: entbhi, lw mdeteh mrra thanya bswi shy mar7 y3jbk.
And this time he gave me a wink, and my heart did a back flip. I looked at my nails to avoid being more embarrassed by him.
Basma: all the books I read are my favourite, because I take a little piece of every book with me whenever I finish it.
He was quiet for a while after my answer, and I realised he was staring at me. I gave him a weak half smile, and my blush deepened. We reached the hotel in no time, and I was sad in a way. I actually wanted to stay with him for a little bit more, but I couldn't. I turned around to say bye, and saw that he was looking down at his shoes with his hand in his pockets.
Basma: soo.. bye?
Aziz: bye! Text 3lia or something when you get inside the room.
Basma: ok enshallah.
I gave him a small wave, and turned around to get into the hotel.
Aziz: oh w Basma?
Basma: ewa?
Aziz: bageli 19 so2al for next time.
Then he winked, AGAIN! I'm starting to like the little back flips, and stutter dances my heart does whenever he's around.
